I felt Her Guardian Angel a bit slow at first and seemed to drag on for the first few chapters. Although the story sounds intriguing, I found myself wondering exactly when Heaton would be getting to the point. Then of course… the big wow moment. That moment when it all seems to come together and you just can’t seem to put the book down.
There is something about Amelia. No one knows what it is or what makes her so special. All Marcus knows is that he’s been sent down from Heaven with a very vague mission… protect the girl. With this goal in mind and no further information, he moves in next door and keeps an eye on her. Never interfering, but always watchful, Marcus couldn’t be more frustrated at his assignment, or more bored. Until the day he has to step in. Now, under attack they must work closely together if they are going to keep Amelia alive.
Amelia was a puzzle to me. She was shy and unsure at times, yet Marcus keeps referring to her previous strength and how odd her unsure and frightened behavior is. This lends credence to the story. I mean, who wouldn’t be frightened when you have angels from both Heaven and Hell trying to get you? And yet she weathered it surprisingly well long enough to come into her own and fulfill her destiny. I’m not sure if she was deserving of Marcus, but I know she was deserving of her own book.
With pages so descriptive it’s hard to not imagine the scenes being played out in your mind’s eye, Her Guardian Angel is most definitely one not to be missed.
We women wonder the same thing.
“Her internal beauty shone through, enhancing her external looks and leading him to wonder how such a pretty woman could fall for such disgusting men.”
Really? The man’s got wings and says he’s an Angel.
“I don’t mean to sound rude, but I don’t believe in God or Heaven or anything supernatural… really…so this is all a little hard to grasp.”
“We are not omniscent. We cannot see the future and know what will happen, or change the past.”

If you enjoyed Her Guardian Angel and love the idea of angels forsaking duty for the love of a woman, you’ll want to check out Cynthia Eden’s Angel of Darkness. Another great story of a hot Angel giving up everything for the woman he loves.
