Review: Double Dragon Seduction (A 1Night Stand short) by Kali Willows

TLDR Recap:

What Gwen really needs for her birthday this year is a hot, unattached, one night stand. Luckily, she knows just the right person to call for the connection. Tatsu and Yong need a woman that can handle both of them along with their deepest secrets, and only Madame Eve has the unique talents to find the right woman for the job. But once these three meet in person they find a whole lot more than they were bargaining for–both in and out of the bedroom. Though the sex is steamy and the story has some action, Double Dragon Seduction left me feeling “Eh, whatever!”

Gwen Trembley hasn’t exactly had the best of luck in her love life. Her marriage ended badly, and her jerk ex-husband is already about to tie the knot with the next Mrs. Unlucky. With the eve of his wedding and Gwen’s birthday on the horizon, Gwen decides a one night stand is just what she needs to get back in the game. And while she’s at it, why not make it a menage trois? Enter in the brothers Li, who are having a little trouble keeping their biggest family secret under control. They need the help that only a specific kind of woman can give. Of course, Madame Eve is a master at finding just what her clients need, and for Gwen and the Li brothers this menage trois is no exception. By the time the night is over, Gwen is guaranteed a birthday that she’ll never forget.

I wish we were able to see this story from a different angle. While Kali Willows focuses on Gwen’s past and story – which is important – I would have loved to learn more about Tatsu and Yong and see into their past a bit more than we do. The story was left feeling a little uneven. The background that we do see and the secrets Tatsu and Yong share are intriguing, however, and it was something I would have liked to see more of.

Final Thoughts:

While Double Dragon Seduction has an interesting story, the action and execution leaves me wanting a little more.
