I both dread and ADORE the yearly Readers Choice awards. I dread it because...ugh, SO. MUCH. WORK. Literally days and days worth of free time (like the 5 hour stint tonight that made me late opening the polls!). But when I'm done, it is absolutely all worth it for so many reasons. I love recognizing the authors who work so hard on their craft and struggle to reach new readers. I adore finding new must-read books and instantly downloading them into my Kindle queue (I'm not even going to tell you how much I spent on ebooks while putting together the nominee list!). Seeing my fellow romance readers get excited about how their favorites are doing in the voting makes it so much more fun. [...]
