Book Spotlight: Save a horse & ride a cowboy with author Tilly Greene

Please help me welcome author Tilly Greene from 2013 Savannah’s fab Authors After Dark conference!

Cowboy PicMontana is beautiful. The state is full of wide open pastures resting peacefully beneath the big blue sky. Amongst the hills, horses and cowboys, oh yes, cowboys … wait, let’s stop there. It’s easy to see why so many men and women love cowboys and readers lead the charge.

Forget the polished wingtips or comfy sneakers. A cowboy puts on a pair of boots and they are set for work, play or just life. The boots can range from basic and dusty to fancy and polished, but they should be sturdy and worked in well enough for the wearer to walk with a sexy swagger. From there the mood is further built with a suit or jeans, a t-shirt or long sleeved shirt, and a hat that fits their personality. Some like the felt hat and others lean more towards one of straw.

The cowboy image takes another step to completion when they emote confidence, comfort and contentment with who they are and the road they’ve chosen to travel. The man in boots and hat has manners that claim him to be a gentleman who is polite and put their women first. They may breed horses, raise cattle or maybe they’re a ranch foreman or ranch hand, that is how us readers prefer to imagine them. They want to read about muscles bulging, sweating profusely and getting dirty while they wrestle with cows, horses or other livestock. Their behavior is one more link to the cowboy who makes our knees weak.

It shouldn’t surprise you all that I took this inspiration, added a bit and wrote a series called Branded because I love cowboys, particularly kinky ones. There are four cowboys who find love with women who are strong, independent and able to get on with whatever life throws at them with joy at being alive and in love. Courtland Dickerson [Ride ‘em] is a retired Hollywood actor recovering from substance abuse and now breeds horses. Matt and Ted Wilson [Konnichiwa Cowboy and Giddy Up] are brothers, one a former commodities broker and the other a retired Marine who raise cattle. Lastly there’s Jon Black [Jon Black’s Woman] who’s part Native American, also a retired Marine and the brothers’ foreman. All four men grew up together, remain best friends and cowboys who get their hands dirty and look sexy doing it.

The Branded books are contemporary western erotic romances, some with ménage, multiculturalism, piercing and a unique use of makeup, and all have bondage and toys. They’re good ol’ cowboys who want a simple life behind the white picket fence with the woman they love and a bit of kink. It’s easy to love a cowboy who is sexy, thoughtful and has his priorities in order.

Whether traveling or sitting in her office, Tilly Greene researches and writes erotica and erotic romance novels in a variety of genres and sub-genres like shape shifter, paranormal, contemporary and futuristics, and themes such as BDSM, multiculturalism and ménages. Every day she looks forward to writing about women who are independent and confident, the men who love them, and their twisting passionate path to each other.
